Luxair flight operations will take off again on June 1, 2020

FESCO (intermodal transport operator in Russia) has launched a block train to transport cars from Heilongjiang province in China to Belgium . The train is routed via the Russia-China border crossing in Suifenhe / Grodekovo and the Belarus-Poland border crossing in Brest/Malasheviche. So far, one train a month is planned with a planned monthly volume of 100 TEU. In future, the service frequency is expected to run on a weekly basis. The first train carrying 41 40’ units with 123 cars arrived at the destination in Belgium on May 10. The transit time made 23 days.

First Airbus A340 of Air Belgium airline arrived in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk on May 11, aircrafts are used as cargo to carry medical and protective equipments to fight coronavirus from China to Europe. Krasnoyarsk airport is used for refueling and crew changes. 12 flights are planned in May.


Russia Russia confirmed 10,699 new coronavirus infections Friday 8th May, bringing the country’s official number of cases to 187,859.

Russia now has the world's second-fastest rate of new infections behind the United States. It is the fifth most-affected country in terms of infections, surpassing Germany and France on Thursday.

Ninety-eight people died over the past 24 hours, bringing the total toll to 1,723 10,699 new coronavirus infections Friday, bringing the country’s official number of cases to 187,859.

07/05 - Moscow Times

Lockdown measures in the Russian capital are extended until May 31 after the country reported a record increase in coronavirus infections. New obligations were imposed: from May 12, citizens must wear medical masks and gloves in public transport and shops.

Belgian brewing company AB InBev, in Russia, has launched the production of a disinfectant. inBev plans to release nine thousand liters of gel in the near future.

NEWS 26/03 - Moscow Times

Russia will halt all international flights from midnight on Friday 27th March under a government decree listing new measures against the coronavirus outbreak.

The decree published on Thursday orders aviation authorities to halt all regular and charter flights, with the exception of special flights evacuating Russian citizens from abroad.

NEWS 25/03 - TASS

On 25th March, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation over the coronavirus crisis in a televised broadcast and announced that taxes on dividends paid abroad should be increased, the new tax will be - 15%. Vladimir Putin pointed out that Russia will withdraw from double tax treaties with those countries that will not agree those tax changes regarding dividends.

Russia is opening a GREEN CORRIDOR to facilitate access to first necessity goods from Europe and United States! This corridor started on Friday 20th March and will last for one month.

NEWS 17/03 - Moscow Times

Russia is banning the entry of foreign nationals and stateless people from March 18 to May 1 in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The ban will not apply to diplomatic representatives, airplane crew members and those attending the funerals of close relatives may still enter Russia, among others

Russia's embassies and consulates have suspended the processing of documents and issuing of all types of visas, including e-visas.

Moscow has banned all public events larger than 50 people from now until April 10, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a new decree. Older citizens are also advised to stay at home

There have been 114 cases of coronavirus infections reported in Russia so far.
